Graduates of universities tend to be better-prepared for their professional life, and university curricula correspond better to the needs and requirements posed by companies nowadays. The latest report published in Wprost (a weekly magazine commenting on the political and social situation in Poland and in the world), shows SWPS as one of the best non-public universities providing education in the field of social sciences and foreign languages.
The contemporary job market needs people who have solid grounds in humanities and consider others from a broader perspective. Having adopted such approach to teaching, SWPS is the only non-public educational institution that has been awarded in the field of social sciences and foriegn languages and it is number among other universities.
Over 500 biggest Polish companies have been taken into consideration, and their heads were to determine what kinds of specialists and graduates were needed in particular. 'SWPS is one of the most highly valued non-public universities,' say the authors of the report.
In the ranking of 50 higher level educational institutions whose graduates are most looked for by employers, SWPS is the second best non-public university in Poland placing on the twenty eighth position. 'The great majority of the interrogated companies are industry organizations. This may explain a high number of technical universities and degree programs, and a comparably little number of humanistic and social univeristies and degrees. Almost unexistant are environmental and life sciences universities as well as artistic and medical universities.
The research was conducted at the turn of February and March 2013 among the presidents, vice-presidents and board members who are responsible for all HR actions of companies.
