On 15 November 2004, the Intercultural Centre for Professional Adaptation project founded by SWPS took eighth place in the EQUAL Community Initiative competition announced in June 2004. The EQUAL Community Initiative aims to implement the European strategy for promoting employment, development, and fighting against discrimination and social exclusion.
