We have the honour to invite you to an open lecture held by prof. Yona Teichman from Tel Aviv University "Understanding Parents' Role in Children's Experience of Threat: Implications for Prevention and Intervention".
The lecture is a part of Current Issues in International Psychology course.
Time and place: Tuesday, October 4th 2011, 13:45-15:15, SWPS, room N308.
Prof. Yona Teichman focuses her research and publications on clinical and social psychology; her scientific interests revolve around fear, depression, psychological consequences of abortion and the formation of prejudice and stereotypes in children. Her last book, written together with Daniel Bar-Tal, received a prestigious Alexander George Book Award for the best political psychology book published in 2005 |

International Summer School MOBILE in Sopot |

SWPS is coordinating the international summer school „Studies in Migration and Mobility in Europe" (MOBILE) run by eight European universities within the Framework of the EU „ Life-Long Learning Programme" (LLP), Erasmus Intensive Programmes, with the support of LLP national agency in Poland (FRSE). The summer school will take place in Sopot between August 14 and 27, 2011.

Share your ERASMUS experience in Warsaw and send in your photos! The works will be presented on the campus and at the university's website as well as during an exhibition taking place during the career day on October 21st 2009.

SWPS and The British Council as Strategic Partners |

On December 4th 2008 an act of strategic partnership for the years 2008-2011 was signed by Prof. Jan Strelau- the Vice-Rector for Research and International Affairs of SWPS and Tony O'Brien - the Director of British Council Poland. The two institutions will cooperate in the realisation of the Intercultural Navigators Project.

10th anniversary of the Erasmus Program |

SWPS celebrated the 10th anniversary of the Erasmus Program in Poland on November 25th and 26th 2008. The celebrations began with a debate on „Multiculturalism on the polish labour market" (the discussion was held in Polish).
The main guests were professionals working at SWPS: Prof. Pawel Boski (cross-cultural psychologist), Elzbieta Józefowicz (Director of the International Students' Office) Radosław Stanczewski (Erasmus Officer at the Bureau of International Affairs) and Maria Grabiszewska (HR ESN Poland). After the debate all guests were invited to enjoy refreshments.
