SWPS uses the e-learning platform to enhance the quality of programmes offered to students. The courses offered are divided into two categories:

Web enhanced courses, where students have access to the materials published by their tutors (PowerPoint slides from lectures, reading lists, additional reading materials) and have an opportunity to interact with their tutors and fellow students using discussion fora and communicators.

Blended or online courses, where a part or the whole of the teaching-learning process takes place online.  In these courses, students are presented with educational materials in an involving way and then are offered an opportunity to practise the knowledge and skills in various interactive tasks, done individually and / or in groups. During their work, students interact with fellow students and teachers using tolls such as wikis and workshops.

• Students' work can be scheduled around personal and professional work.
• Learners can study whenever they have access to computers and the Internet, which reduces travel costs and time school.
• Learners can select learning materials that meet their level of knowledge and interests.
• Self-paced learning modules allow learners to work at their own pace using high quality materials.
• Students are able to join discussions in the bulletin board threaded discussion areas at any hour, or contact their classmates and instructors remotely in chat rooms, in an easier and more frequent way than in traditional classroom settings.
• E-learning addresses different student learning styles facilitates learning through varied activities.
• Students develop their computer and Internet skills that are transferable to other facets of their lives.
• Successfully completing online or computer-based courses builds self-knowledge and self-confidence and encourages students to take responsibility for their learning
